The Canary Murder Case, classic mystery hardback copy published in the 70s. fair condition cover, acceptable, readable. best selling mystery writer; book first published in 1927, this is a later edition, publish year not identified, may have been a later 27 printing as this was a best seller in its era.
Incomparable diva Margaret Odell, famous Broadway beauty nicknamed "The Canary", is murdered in her apartment. She has numerous men in her life, ranging from high society to gangsters, and more than one man visited her apartment on the night she dies. It is Philo Vance must reveal the killer from a concise list of suspects, one of whom must have done it but apparently none could have. Strictly mystery, plot of later movie changed the storyline slightly so this is the original written book.
Condition: This hard cover book is in excellent condition with some wear to the cover but text inside is pristine and very readable, sharp black on age yellowed pages. Some yellowing and discoloration due to age of book but will take careful handling and reading for a long time to come.
