Original vintage 1882 steel engraving print titled ON THE OCLAWAHA, FLORIDA. Engraved by Karst. It features a boat traveling down the river through a swamp, with an alligator and birds. There is an insert with an Orange Orchard, and a man picking oranges. The Ocklawaha River is in central Florida, near Ocala. This page was salvaged from an atlas with no binding and no covers which was carefully thread disbound. One edge will show thread holes where it was bound, as shown in picture. The etching is in VG+ condition, with no tears on the image, practically no foxing. Image area is clean and pristine. Slight age toning around the outer edges.Page measures 10 x 12, (image size 6 x 5 inches).
