Royal Visit Medallion - George VI 1939 CANADA TOKEN #2. This 1" bronze souvenir medal was issued to commemorative the Royal Visit of 1939 to Canada by the Royal Family, which included amongst others, King George VI, Queen Elizabeth (the Queen Mother of Late), and Princess Elizabeth (now Queen Elizabeth II).
The front features a map of Canada showing the Royal family's trip by rail through Canada, with the Canadian motto [from sea to sea] in latin above, and an inscription "REGEM REGINAM CANADA SALVTAT" (latin for Canada salutes her King and Queen) below.
The back side features a conjoined bust of the King and Queen.
