This is a fine original vintage print of a Rainbow Trout. It is 5x9 inches. These prints are by Sherman F. Denton. I found the proof in the first edition of the reports and in the introduction it states, "colored plates were made by Mr. Sherman F. Denton of Wellesley, Mass., from living or fresh specimens." These plates are rarer and more colorful then his (Denton's) later work (New York Fisheries Reports) that you see every day I have some more of these fish prints including Walleye, Yellow Perch,trout, salmon, Shad, Rock Bass, Whitefish, contact me for a link to see them..
