Item Description

These stamps were part of a 50-piece set sold by the Boston Herald newspaper in 1983. They could only be purchased by clipping a coupon in the paper and mailing it in. You then received a 3-stamp packet with players of their choosing.
The stamps measure 1” x 1-¾” and 1” x 1-1/8”. Condition is at least near mint, some with the typical centering issues.

Included are: Lefty Grove, Jimmy Collins, Cy Young, Tris Speaker, Jimmie Foxx, Joe Cronin, Frank Malzone, Rico Petrocelli, George Scott, Luis Tiant, Mike Brown Luis Aponte, Jeff Newman, Ed Jurak, Gary Allenson, Steve Crawford, Rick Miller Rich Gedman, Bob Stanley, John Tudor, Bruce Hurst, Jerry Remy, Tony Armas, Ralph Houk (blemished) Glenn Hoffman, Mark Clear.
