Sports Illustrated magazine, August 5, 1957. Bonnie Prudden physical fitness cover and story. Some things never change. Today they worry about obese Americans and back in 1957 they were worrying about flabby Americans. Prudden's article not only has exercises and helpful tips but includes a 4 page chart so you can keep track not only of what you eat and do but the lifestyle habits that influence your fitness level. Naturally there is much more to this magazine including account of the Patterson Hurricane Jackson fight, great color photo essay on Willie Mays stealing bases, race horse Swoon's Son, baseball's Ted Williams, trampolining and more. Interior pages yellowed with age and cover has light soil from shelf wear, but issue is in otherwise undamaged and excellent condition.
