THE FRANKLIN LIBRARY SET consists of six leather-bound volumes with raised gilt-banded spines and decoratively-embossed covers. Each volume is flatsigned by the author. This set includes A STILLNESS AT APPOMATTOX by Bruce Catton; ALL THE KING'S MEN by Robert Penn Warren; RABBIT, RUN by John Updike; THE CAINE MUTINY by Herman Wouk; ADVISE AND CONSENT by Allen Drury; and THE AGONY AND THE ECSTASY by Irving Stone. The exquisitely-illustrated volumes were published by The Franklin Library, Franklin Center, Pennsylvania in 1977. The books measure from the smallest, 6" by 8 5/8", to the largest, 6 3/4" by 9 5/8".

All bindings are tight and all covers and spines intact and secure. The Seller states there are no visible defects other than a 1" spine scratch and a small "bleached-out" circle to the outer page edge of THE AGONY AND THE ECSTASY as pictured above. Otherwise, both the Irving Stone and the five other interiors may be considered Pristine, with no marks, creases, rips, discolorations or writing other than the author signatures. The covers of all six volumes show no defects, other than the small Irving Stone spinal scratch, which is not readily noticeable. Overall, the six-volume set is Very Good+/Fine.
