Baby Elizabeth's homecoming. Porcelain head and limbs and cloth body. 14" tall. Dressed in Pink flannel one piece sleeper and matching bonnet trimmed with lace and white knit booties tied with ribbon, see photo. From Edwin M. Knowles Fine China company, MIB. She has short fine blonde hair. Original Box is in great condition has unwrapped receiving blanket her certificate and litature. Designed by Kathy Barry-Hipplesteen an award wining doll artist. Elizabeth is the first issue of Baby Book Treasures series in 1990 she is numbered 5866G. She is portriat of few days old infant with her closed eyes and partially open mouth rounded cheeks and natural sleeping positon even her hands are uniquely sculpted with the right one has the thumb in sucking pose and remaining fingers tightly closed even her feet are crossed over in a relaxed baby sleep position. This would make an idea doll for the sister age 8 to 12 experiencing the arrival of a new sister and she could give all the care to her newborn Mom does to her new sister, also she can purchase diapers and baby bottles etc. doll size at any toy store to go with her. Because the doll is porcelain and fragile the girl will learn how to care for a cherrished item that is fragile just like a real newborn. Out of box for pictures only never been displayed. Hands and feet still in original bubble wrap as shown in photo. Perfect condition no damage or odors.. Not suitable for a child under 8 yr. Has never been displayed from non-smoking home. No cracks, chips or repairs. Excellent condition.
