This book is in near mint good condition. It was read only once before being placed up for sale. The is a very, very light crease in the spine but you have to really look close to see it. There are no dog ears and no bent or torn pages. It still lays flat and stays closed by itself. All in all this book is in really good shape for an 8 year old paperback book!

For beneath the hard, cracked earth, a shattering secret is about to explode--a secret whose chilling repercussions will challenge a mans courage, a woman's desire. . .and the soul of an angry, embittered town.
Tom Keatley has pulled rain from the sky in town after arid town. A loner, a drifter, Tom is a rainmaker, the stuff of myth. But to Karen Grange, Goodlands, beleaguered mortgage lender, Tom is her only hope to save the dying town. For Tom, inextricably drawn to Goodlands, and to Karen, the storm is just beginning. Because beneath the hard, cracked earth is a shattering secret that only he can uncover. Together, they harness nature's greatest force--love--to find the redemption that will save them all.
Industry reviews
"All in all, 'A Dry Spell' is not unlike the town of Goodlands--a little creaky from too much dust, but an occasionally interesting place to visit."
