This book is in good condition. It was read only once before being placed up for sale. There is a very, very light crease in the spine but you really have to look close to even see it. No dog ears, no bent pages. There is a small crease on the lower left corner of the back cover but it doesn't detract from the book. All in all this book is in really good shape for a 5 year old paperback book!

Synopsis
Young private detective Regan Reilly, whom Carol Higgins Clark's readers know from previous mysteries, is horrified to discover that her father has been kidnapped. So much for a merry Christmas! By chance, Regan has just made the acquaintance of Alvirah Meehan, an intrepid amateur sleuth--and a recurrent character in the novels of Mary Higgins Clark. This chocolate-and-peanut-butter pair sets out to rescue the kidnapped Luke Reilly (and his driver, Rosita, who has also been abducted). With the addition of hard-boiled NYPD detectives, bumbling criminals, cute children, and an ominously brewing winter storm, this mystery has all the ingredients of a really top-drawer made-for-TV movie.

Industry reviews
"Readers already hooked on the Clarks' individual concoctions will not be displeased with this mild collaborative eggnog. Others may wish to turn elsewhere."
Wall Street Journal - Tom Nolan (12/10/2000)
"Though Mary at her best can generate suspense, and Carol has a knack for light entertainment, the two together never succeed here in either category."
New York Times Book Review - Matthew Flamm (01/14/2001)
