You are buying one Sweetgum (Liquidambar styraciflua) 2 year old plant 14-20 inches tall
You will receive plant similar to the one on the pictures.
Plant will be shipped in box. roots wrapped in wet media during dormancy , after it breaks dormancy in April it will be shipped potted up . Plant will be trimmed to the size of the shipping box 22 inches.
Plants will be sent without the soil , roots wrapped in wet media while dormant, in the mailing tube or box. After it breaks it's dormancy it will be planted and sent in plastic container with soil. Well rooted plant, ready to be transplanted to the permanent location.
USDA plant hardiness zones 5 through 9
Native to the lowlands and foothills of southern Missouri. Planted extensively statewide. Does best in deep, moist soils. Yellow to orange to red fall color. Valuable timber tree that can get to be 3-4 feet in diameter. Height at maturity is 80-100 ft.
This species can be commonly used for windbreaks, erosion control, reforestation and wetlands restoration.
