Business community fundraiser recipe book cookbook OUR FAVORITE RECIPES
compiled by patrons, family and friends of the Cloverdale Country Store and Community, WI, Wisconsin.

(I always try to choose soup recipes because soups are so few and far between in most cookbooks)
Hearty Hamburger Soup
2 Tbsp butter
1 cup sliced carrots
1 lb hamburger
2 cup tomato juice
1/2 tsp salt
1/8 tsp pepper
4 cup milk
1 cup chopped onion
1/2 cup chopped pepper (optional)
1 cup diced potatoes
1 tsp seasoned salt
1/3 cup flour
In large skillet, cook onion and pepper in margarine until tender, but not brown. Add hamburger; cook until browned. Stir in tomato juice, carrots and seasonings; cover and cook over low heat until carrots are partly done. Add potatoes and cook until both are soft. Combine flour with 1 cup milk; stir into soup mixture. Add remaining milk; heat to boiling and cook 2-3 minutes. Makes 8 servings.
Senate Bean Soup
Wash 1 pound dried beans & soak overnight in water to cover. Next morning, add water to make 4 quarts. Add a smoked ham bone with some meat on it; simmer about 2 hours or until beans are soft. Do not cover. Add:
3 medium potatoes, mashed
2 cloves minced garlic (optional)
1 cup chopped onion
1 cup chopped celery
Simmer 1 hour. Remove bone; cut up meat and return to soup; then season to taste with salt and pepper. Makes about 4-1/2 quarts.
Tomato Soup for Canning
14 qt ripe tomatoes
14 stems celery
11 bay leaves
7 medium onions
Put all together and cook until tender; then put through sieve. Put back in kettle and add:
14 Tbsp flour
1 lb butter
8 Tbsp salt
16 Tbsp sugar
Boil 1/2 hour. Can hot. When opening, add milk.
No-Bake Chocolate Oatmeal Cookies
1-1/2 cup sugar
1/3 cup milk
1/4 tsp salt
4 Tbsp cocoa
1/2 cup crunchy peanut butter
1/2 cup margarine
3 cup quick oatmeal
1 tsp vanilla
Mix sugar, milk, salt, cocoa and margarine; boil 1-1/2 minutes after mixture comes to a boil. Remove from heat and add peanut butter. Stir until dissolved. Stir in oatmeal and vanilla. Drop by teaspoon onto waxed paper. Press lightly with fork. Makes about 2 dozen.

Very Good, and I checked EVERY page to enter all the names! (I include ALL names in ALL fundraiser-type cookbooks because I know how frustrating it is to hope and wonder if specific contributors are included in a book, only to find out they’re not, upon receipt.) Covers and pages are clean and tight to all 15 plastic spirals. No tears, no chips, no dog-ears, no defective spirals, no missing pages. Slight rubbing of front cover side, as if stored too tightly upright between books. Only light shelfwear to bottom of both covers and a tag on spiral body that says “WI” for Wisconsin, I presume, which can easily be removed and wiped with Goo Gone sticker lifter. Books are NOT
from smoke-free or pet-free environment. Please see above supersized image ... it is part of the description. Email with questions or requests.
Buyer pays $4.00 (NOT for typical Media/Bookrate shipping NOR ANY handling fees!) ------------>>> Seller will add to your $4.00 and pay the extra dollars for upgrade to FIRST CLASS/PRIORITY that will include insurance, tracking number/info, faster delivery, and more gentle handling by the USPS than Media/Bookrate to better protect the plastic spirals on your keepsake.
Seize this scarce book for posterity, the descendants, future generations of those who contributed the recipes ... this legacy may be all there is! … Perfect as a gift for birthdays, Christmas, newborn grandchild or just to say “I love you and cherish the memories.”

These books/items are not new unless specified new … they are retro or vintage, and some may come with wear and/or smells. I go to extremes, perhaps, detailing each item attributes and flaws, if any. And I especially include SMOKE and PET clauses in all descriptions, so please don't email me asking if it smells of smoke because you may be able to smell better than I do.
Please read the description and condition carefully before buying … all sales final, unless I grossly and unintentionally erred or omitted. Questions or comments or requests for more/larger images, please contact me prior to purchasing … I care.
Please do not use my description to sell your book. It takes me hours, sometimes, to describe and list names/recipes/contents so you'll know exactly what you're buying.
