Antique Photo Lt. Commander Walker (Probably Asa Walker Later To Be Admiral)

Mounted on a card, apparently cut through the photo on the left side, the photo area is about 3 by 4 inches. Names are listed on the back, one of them Lt. Commander Walker, presumably the man standing in uniform. Asa Walker was a Lt. Commander between 1884 and 1894 and that looks about right for the time of the photo. How many Lieutenant Commander Walkers could there have been? I bought it from a dealer in Maine, but I don't know where it was before that. The actually color is not red at all, perhaps a very light sepia.
