4x5 inches. I have no personal knowledge of this, but I gather from the material present that this was wallpaper taken from the house of one Reverend Samuel Treat, c. 1648 - 1717, who lived in Eastham, Massachusetts. The note on the back refers to Olive, Mercy and Lucia, sisters of William F. Knowles, who erected a gravestone for Treat in what was considered to be modern times in 1906. You can find this if you google. The last picture comes from the 1906 book that elsewhere mentions that on the back of the "new" gravestone is written, "Erected by Olive, Mercy and Lucia, sisters of William F. Knowles." Perhaps the person who wrote on this paper copied it off the gravestone. The person who once owned this was related to the Treats, though I don't know what her name was. It could be 17th Century wallpaper, I suppose. It was in a 1970's - 1980's looking photo album, but I don't know when the paper last adorned a wall or when it was removed or how the former owner got it. Very fragile. That's an upside down piece of paper in the middle.
