VILLAGE VITTLES: GRACE PRESBYTERIAN VILLAGE AUXILIARY: Published by FAVORITE RECIPES PRESS in 1990. Presbyterian Village, Inc. was opened for occupancy in July, 1962. During its 25th anniversary in 1987, the name was changed to Grace Presbyterian Village Ministries. It is the only mission of Grace Presbytery that provides housing and services for the elderly. Numerous levels of care and service are provided at the Village, ranging from independent cottage living to Health Units that provide a wide range of caring service. In 1981, the Caring Fund was established to ensure continued support and security for some aging people who were no longer able to provide for themselves because of circumstances beyond their control. In 1983, the Trustees established an endowment program, and in 1986, they added Careships to that program. A Careship can be established with a contribution of $10,000 to the Village. The Careship becomes a part of the perpetual endowment fund and can be named in remembrance of a loved one or in the name of the contributor. It is the goal of Grace Presbyterian Village Auxiliary to raise money to fund a Careship through the sale of these cookbooks. Any additional money earned will also be used for Village needs. This is a marvelous opportunity for each of us to make a lasting contribution to this fine facility and to ensure that all residents at the Village will continue to receive the care they need regardless of their financial circumstances. We prayerfully ask your support in this endeavor to serve God by serving the needs of our elderly.
