Antique German Bisque Piano Baby (#11152) ca. 1879-1886

Add to Cart
German bisque piano baby by Carl Schneider and modeling artist Karl Unger.
Marked with "G" over double headed arrow with “Dep.” which was the hallmark of the Gräfenthal factory for the Giesshubel firm. According to research, this mark was only used from 1879 through 1886. (<=G=> only vertical)
The baby is holding a rattle as it sits.
4 3/4" tall by 3 1/2" long by 2 1/2" wide
This piece is "As found" and does show marks of paint or dirt. I did not attempt to clean as I learned the hard way that bisque does not clean well in warm water.
