One of the exceedingly few AWA videos, unfortunately, the AWA did not hype these releases as well as they could have, nor did they print the mass quantity that is a hallmark of WWE (then the WWF). As a result, all the AWA videos are quite scarce.
Here's the matches:
- AWA World Heavyweight Champion Verne Gagne defends against his most persistent adversary, Nick Bockwinkel. Note the special guest referee, Doug Gilbert (younger brother of the late Eddie Gilbert)
- The final moments of Nick Bockwinkel's AWA World Heavyweight Title defence against Jumbo Tsuruta in Japan.
- A very young Rick Martel challenges Jumbo Tsuruta for the AWA World Heavyweight Championship.
- Now the AWA World Champion, Rick Martel defends the belt against a young Michael "P.S." Hayes.
